I'm dead serious, Lindholm has been my favorite Flame since day #1 that he got to CGY. But I think the apprehension is signal enough even for me to say, so long and thanks for all the fish.

Don’t disagree at all but part of this is the players agent influence. They know how to play the game and trying to squeeze as much out as possible. With the clock ticking and Calgary’s apparent desire to sign this player then they are in the drivers seat. Personally I want the Flames to move on and start the re-build but if he’s a key priority for them then this is a strategic play by the Lindholm camp (if he is indeed committed and wanting to be a Flame).
If some earlier reports are true that the Flames are willing to push this to August or September than that’s where I get really concerned about the direction of this team and what they are doing behind the scenes.
