Oilers lost because they were schooled at 5 on 5 production. How does a goalie help with that?
And yeah, if they could play remotely good 5 on 5 they'd stand a chance even with Skinner playing like Markstrom.
I really hope they believe that's all they need and do some Olympian cap gymnastics to get one. That would be fantastic because they'll just lose again and waste another year of McDavid.
It also wont matter much who the goalie is They hang their goalies out to dry. I mean, did you see the coverage on those Vegas goals?
If a guy like Hellebuyck can't buoy a responsible Jets team more than a round then he wouldn't do that for the river hockey boys either.
