For sure 100% agree and it’s in his and many other players contracts, good for them but it’s not correct in a business like this. My issue is the NMC or NTC shouldn’t even exist and it’s a part of the current problem in the NHL. It also disproportionately hurts the smaller market teams, we all get it Calgary and most other small market teams are on their lists because they all want to play in Florida or NY. These are professional “teams” and things change where you may not fit into the current style, culture or plan of a team. Maybe these should only be available to “franchise” players or maybe only 1 or 2 allowed per team max. There’s lots of professions where you can live wherever you want, professional sports with a 10-12 year career span isn’t one of em IMO.
