Maier for the most part had a bunch of inexperienced receivers to throw to. Once Henry went down he really didn't have a go-to guy. Still, he engineered those 2 drives to force OT. He's a better QB than you're making him out to be.
Did he have some bad throws? Yes. But there's no need to panic. Over the course of the season he will show that he's a capable starter.

He was horrendous. He was missing guys by 5-10 feet, then you add in the decision to throw when things werent there, it was abysmal. 50% completion is no bueno at any level.
He has shown this since game 1.
No excuses for his performace thus far.
