Ducks Draft Recap
The Ducks made 8 selections in this year's draft. Below is a brief summary:
- #4: Leo Carlsson - 6'3 Top playmaking centre, highly intelligent. +2 to Ducks
- #7: Dalibor Dvorsky - 6'1 Top 2 centre. High Floor. TBD on Ceiling. -3 to Blues
Scouts call him the most complete player in the Top 10. Good offensive and defensive skills, only knock is average skating.
- #27: Otto Stenberg - 5'11 highly skilled centre. Good two-way centre which NHL teams covet, great forechecker. I think he goes higher than where I selected him. +2 to Blues
- #31: Bradly Nadeau - 5'10 Top 6 winger with lots of speed and skill, better numbers than Alex Newhook in his draft year. Top 5 shot in the draft. Smaller, played in the BCHL so unknown how his game will translate. Off to University of Maine, so we shall see how he does in the NCAA. +1 to Hurricanes
- #34: Carson Rehkopf - 6'2, power forward with speed, skill and size. Great shot. Questionable consistency. This is likely a bit high for him, but my next pick wasn't until 96 and so took the guy I liked.-16 to Kraken
- #96: Rasmus Kumpulainen - 6'2 Centre from Liiga-Jr. One of the youngest players in the draft (August birthday). Had a strong U-18.+37 to Wild
- #118: Damian Clara - 6'6 Italian goalie playing in the Allsvenskan. Goalies are a shot in the dark, but might as well pick a big one.+58 to Ducks
- #136: Matteo Fabrizi - 6'5, 234lb Defenseman out of the WHL Red Deer Rebels. He's big. I ran out of guys on my list at this point, so who knows.
