The thing is that the Flames easily could take on bad expiring contracts also to facilitate and on top of that all the guys that are soon to be UFA are cheap relative to performance.

So basically the team could end up getting upwards of 10+ good assets + whatever meh contracts that could then hypothetically get flipped at the deadline also.
