Belief that the core group of Flames fans (ones that would find themselves on this site) would stand behind a rebuild, is likely well known by Edwards and Conny.
Core fan support is not something that would stop them from doing it (if they are actually afraid of doing it). Casual fan support, that directly correlates to team performance, and the revenue required from that group, is the barrier here.
