Its pretty rare that 18/19/20 YO guys are lighting it up from the start.
Lafrenniere may or may not become an offensive force in the NHL but you cant make that determination based on his body of work thus far.

You can make a strong educated guess though.
According to Hockey Prospecting’s model Lafrieniere’s star probability has dropped from 75% from his draft year to 26% today. He’s been trending in the wrong direction ever since he was drafted.
I’m not saying he’s not an NHL player, but if you’re trading for him you need to understand that the most likely outcome for him is a middle six winger and not a top line player.
