Are you under the impression that I would try to discredit proof? That I wouldn't believe, even in the face of facts? I would LOVE for there to be aliens here (assuming they're not here to eat us). I believe that the chances of intelligent life elsewhere is highly probable, to the point that it is an almost certainty, based on the number of stars in the universe.
But that doesn't mean I am going to accept nothing more than testimonials, when it comes to someone claiming that aliens are actually here on earth.

You're not answering the question, so I'll rephrase it so you can. Does Biden going on TV announcing an NHI give enough confidence in itself that there's proof of this? Does the president's confirmation - at face value - for something of this extraordinary nature, let you believe it's true?
What if the research is classified and specific details can't be publicly shared?
What if the UN, or NATO, or the EU or SETI made the announcement?
