If some limited agencies were promoting something many don't know about, and there are news broadcasts pretty much legitimizing it, I could see myself falling for it. Not saying personally I could do that leap as I'd be terrified in a sub, but putting that aside news coverage seems to legitimize and provide clout on things. Look at scam artists taking pictures with Presidents and getting clout from that, then proceeding to do their thing. Look at silly gofundme's getting news coverage and proceeding to rack up donations beyond the need. This stuff takes on a life of it's own once publicized.

My personality is such that I'd want to learn everything about it, and deep sea subs, and everything everyone has done on them. So I suspect I'd start to see red flags and begin asking questions.
But then, I also used the zip lines in Costa Rica so perhaps maybe I would be crushed to death. I sure hope you lot would crack some good jokes on my accord. Something about a crushed pickle stuffed in a tube 3000m down having to dill with it? Maybe I brought clay for ballast, and it all washed away?
