My 21 yr. old son just graduated university, moved back to YYC and will be starting a downtown job mid-July.

He needs a good, reliable and fairly economical (auto transmission) car to commute with. A bonus would be something that is low mileage, isn't horrible to look at and doesn't scream grandpa or soccer mom mini-van.

Being a recent grad, budget would top out at ~$8K.
