Some of it might have been resolved and I wouldn’t be as concerned on the porthole question of certified depth versus designed depth but there being no mechanism for testing of the seam of the capsule is concerning.

I think it's the same as hockey sticks. When its stressed or fractured it can break unexpectedly and without warning. That's why the one engineer who complained that they weren't doing any destructive testing or deep analysis (they would have to replace the whole thing) between dives complained about before he was fired.
