I'm probably making every sick by repeating this, but why isn't it automatic that prospects of this level are getting bottom 6 time. The Flames organization seems to be getting worse and worse at giving prospects playing time, despite the NHL getting more and more friendly towards very young players with energy and speed.
If you look through the Flames draft history, guys like Lombardi, Kobasew, Baertschi, Bouma, Prust, Boyd, Pardy and more recently Dube and Magiapane were all getting fairly significant bottom 6 roles within about 3-4 years of being drafted. Now the process just drags, and I do not get it as the opposite should be happening.
