He said having 5 straight 90+ point seasons justifys paying someone 10.5m+. Both Mackinnon and Pastrnak haven’t. Also, Huberdeau was coming off 4 straight seasons over a point a game when he signed the big deal. The two full seasons he played during that stretch were 90+ point seasons. His contract is not looking great right now, but it’s not hard to see why he got 10.5m
