Domi has been mediocre throughout his career and here we're theoretically hoping he turns it around through a long term contract. He may or may not be good, but the point is he's likely to be neither here nor there and that should not be rewarded with a long term deal. I keep saying it but good teams let these guys go. Sign your franchise players to that 8 year deal and all others you reassess for anything close to 5 years. Players like Domi max get a 3 year. Don't like it? Find another bargain elsewhere. Kadri at 7 years more is such a bummer.
