How much longer will Lindholm will be a #1 center? If you lock him in for 8 years after next season, it is doubtful he will be a #1 center until he is 38 years old and it would make it impossible to bring in someone else later down the line because the team won't have the cap space. With Huberdeau and Kadri already locked in to retirement contracts, I don't think it is wise to have another forward given the same kind of contract.
I think the best move now is to trade for youth and find a player that can blossom into a #1 center like Lindholm did.
