For a capped team like the Stars, a productive top-six forward with upside who only counts for 890k against the cap for the next two seasons is precious as diamonds. Even if they move Benn in the deal, they’ll find it extremely difficult to regain that cap efficiency. And it’s hard to see where they replace his productivity (Benn + Johnston = 119 pts vs Lindholm’s 64).
