Player on ELC at $900k also has performance bonuses which factor into to cap penalties for future years. It’s easy to say let’s the kids play but you better have a cap structure to absorb the bonuses in future years if they hit them

I picked those two as being set down as they are waivers eligible. When they
sign overpay the La-Bouche that will give them 8 defense (with notable prime-giordano's Markus Niemelainen and Vincent Desharnais) which means at least one is going down. They will need that money to get forwards, and they will still need to either dump assets for late round picks or push players through waivers just to make enough space to ice a team.
But no actually, Carolina is going to do Pesce (+maybe some sweetener) for Broberg, Kulak, and a pick, because something something owner is cheap.
