I'd try to get Zadorov signed long term at maybe a lower cap hit. See if he'd go for security. Something like 5 years at $2 to $2.5 million AAV.
I think he's a great No. 5 defenseman and his game has improved a lot over the time he's been here. And he should improve with Huska around.
I think if you have Andersson, Weegar and Hanifin as your top 3, the bottom 3 can be more of the big and mobile defenders with some toughness. That's kind of how the Knights defense is built. Zadorov can be the Flames version of Brayden McNabb.

I think Zadarov is going to get himself a raise that prices him off the Flames. If he comes anywhere close to repeating last year’s production he is getting a Gudbranson contract.
