I can't help but wonder how many people having faith in a 33 year old Markstrom bounce back because "goalies are voodoo", are the some of the same people that think 25 year old Vladar is trash that nobody wants, despite them both being pretty much on par with each other last season.

There is a difference between thinking Vladar is trash and looking at what is available and what teams already have and thinking he will not fetch a 2nd and quite possibly ends up on waivers and clears.
He could still turn it around and have a good career, he's young. But there is so many goalies available and most teams probably favour their prospects/AHL goalies over other teams' prospects. There are only a few teams that have holes on the NHL team and little coming up through the farm.
Treliving might like Vladar but Joe Woll makes $766k and his numbers are similar. I can't imagine he will go with Woll and Vladar and just let Samsonov walk.
