Conny will absolutely not screw this up. I think he's a lot more in tuned with what we for the most part are saying.

While I expect Connie needs to know before the draft what players intentions are, I fully expect some of the players who are not signing to be traded after the draft.
I assume many teams will be reluctant to trade 2023 picks, and it’s possible those teams may miss out. But I think the market for our top players like Lindholm and Hanifin will be better post-draft, if required.
Everyone pretty much is in a cap crunch, and getting a player in this draft that can possibly play this year or even next year may be too hard to pass up on.
But like with all things, time will tell.
