He’s never been a PP guy, and he won’t be any time soon with Andersson and Weegar and even OK and Poirier needing offensive touches.
He’s not some sort of elite witch defensively like Tanev (who himself is not worth more than a 4-year commitment as a prime UFA).
He’s going to be very expensive, and he brings the same thing as three other guys, and it’s debatable he’s better than any of them.

I think people are under valuing his worth. He allows Andersson to excel because without his skating and ability Andersson isn't a top pairing player.
He has 38 and 48 points his last two season with no power play time that's pretty impressive.
6'3 awesome skating ability good in his own end able to join the rush I think with a more offensive approach he gets back into the 45-50 point range and he's low maintenance.
Also being forgotten is I think he is a driven player who wants to really good. Go back to his end of season press conference one of thr few guys who took some accountability and talked about how he needs to grow as a leader now.
I really like the player and person. We don't have a Noah Hanifin in the system not even close.
Just imagine all off season last year everyone wanted to ship him out because of the depth if he traded him we would have been screwed.
