That’s a low percentage play though.
If you’re trading Hanifin for picks, it’s pretty unlikely those picks turn out to be better than Hanifin is, was, or will be for the foreseeable future.
It’s fine to acquire picks but if that’s the way they go, the Flames shouldn’t, nor should the fans, expect those picks to be better than Hanifin. If a pick turns out to be better than Hanifin, that should be considered a home run. Not impossible but unlikely. Especially if you not getting a top 10 pick.
