If we move Hanifin, we need a future top line c or d coming back. Teams with a future top pairing d are unlikely to unload one for hanifin. So we have to target a team that is d poor and C heavy.
LA stands out. They are deep at C both currently and in the pipeline. I look at a prospect like Alex Turcotte and basis draft position/pedigree, has potential to be a 1C. They are light on D and could be a good trading partner. Wouldn’t trade Hanifin for a winger, need to nail any trade and get our future top line C in the Hanifin deal.
