I guess it depends on how much Hanifin was signing for. You could always trade him later down the line if you need to, depending on trade clauses and all that of course. It would also depend on what the plan was to replace Lindholm.

I am not sure how much something like this does, or should play into it, but if Hanifin wanted to stay and re-sign at market rates, it would be a pretty big PR win for a club that has taken a lot of hits over the past year.

No matter what happens with Hanifin, the guy has been a great soldier for this team. He always seemed to give it his best and never complained.
