I think they're awesome. So much easier for travel than trying to bring a full size booster seat, and I truly believe they're just as safe. If you have a choice my kids found the flat version more comfortable than the folding version, and they did a lot of hours in both types. We actually ended up using them at home for awhile, as the kids liked them better - I think they felt more like "big kids" than in a regular booster.

I will check with my wife tomorrow - at one point we had 3 of them, but I'm not sure if she got rid of them or not, as our kids have outgrown them.
