Listening to the Huska interview that was posted, he pretty much echoes exactly what Conroy was talking about. He preaches team structure in the defensive zone, but also says you have to let you skilled players be creative in the offensive zone. He specifically mentioned Tkachuk as a player that liked to try things and it shouldn't be discouraged. He said that you have to help teach them how to read situations for when to make the easy plays and when to free wheel.

I think he sounds like a smart coach and I like that he puts an emphasis on team defense. Defense is so important, not just for preventing scoring chances against, but your skilled guys are not going to get scoring chances if they are pinned in their own zone too often. You need a good defensive strategy so that you can transition to offense and let the offensive players do their thing.
