Lindholm is one season removed from scoring 42 goals and being a Selke runner up. These players don't become available very often.

Those players were all quite a bit younger than Lindholm. having to give long contracts covering non-prime years is something GM's are starting to understand and shying away from.
The Jones trade was universally panned then and especially now.
Debrincat had 2 years of control left.
Plus, the 17OA this year has huge value. Calgary seems likely to get a pretty good player at 16OA.
In fact, I expect that the 17OA is not available in 2023.
And 2nd round picks in this draft have quite a bit more value than they usually do.
