I wonder if negotiations with Love took a turn or someone had a change of heart and they are now pivoting to Huska. Certainly wouldn't be ideal but, if that's the case, it's nice to have a second high quality internal candidate.

Connie has been a Huska fan for a long time. He was most likely going to get the job. Everyone was focused on other names.
