The problem is not “medical school is too expensive. Ergo, we don’t have enough doctors.”

The problem is we are not producing enough people.

These high value high responsibility positions go to the best and brightest among your population. If you have to outsource those jobs it is because your society is not producing enough new people to internally, fill the best and brightest quota.

Canada’s birth rate has declined every year since 2009.

That’s devastating.
You're incorrect about med school. I know multiple doctors that didn't get in on their first try and they literally didn't do anything other get another interview and get in on the second try. They aren't better for it, they just had a better interview or others had a worse interview etc.

Nursing is very difficult to get into, yet we need nurses. Do you think that someone with a 3.75 GPA is way worse than someone with a 3.8?

Open more seats, it's really not complicated.

We don't have need to outsource these positions, we're being lazy.

I never said that med school is too expensive (though it's way too expensive) I said I school is too expensive. How many people choose not to go to school too fill many of theses positions because it's too expensive.

At least with trade school the time is shorter and you can collect ei while you go.

I'm not saying we shouldn't have immigration,we need it, but there are several solutions to solve these problems.
