I'm just saying that "falling concrete" makes for nice scary headlines, but it doesn't mean the building is in any immediate danger of collapsing.
Could the Saddledome last another 40 years? With no upgrades/maintenance? No. If it was well-maintained, sure.
Ultimately, the question is whether or not those maintenance and upgrades are worth the cost to keep a building like that operational.
