Almost every aspect of building a hockey team was irrelevant back then due to the Canadian dollar and no salary cap. Yeah, I just meant in terms of a boring team with boring players playing a boring system implemented by boring "hire from within" or hire from outside but with a resume that can fit on a business card coaching staffs.
The change this org needs is in the "Flames Way" cloud that colours every decision we make and path we go down. As long as our mantra is "pack a lunchbox and swing for the infield," all we're really doing is changing the faces.
