I am sure you would find alot of people that would be upset with this. Mainly in the south where they seem to congregate. I bet if you asked 10 (non-mexican) people in any of those states, 7 or 8 would be upset.

He probably will address the Mexican president about the issue. Wheither or not anything gets done is another story.

There needs to be a deterent, and right now, there really isn't one. If they get caught, they go to jail for a bit, and or get deported back to Mexico to try again. So short of calling open season on illegals entering the country, what is to keep them from attempting a crossing to the US?

I guess the Mexican gov't handing these out, might make it more appealing for people to attempt the crossing. But those are people that have probably already thought about it.
