Depends on the team, especially in the O where some teams are always almost broke but some others throw money around like crazy. But generally a low end NHL assistant salary still blows a head coach O salary out of the water
I haven't been following too closely, but does Savard want an NHL job again? I remember him trying to buy a major stake of Windsor a few years ago
