It isn't only about people leaving look at the number of doctors coming to Alberta. The fact that there are unfilled residency positions in Alberta is almost unheard of. They can't recruit to rural Alberta and the professional educated population doesn't want to move to Alberta.
The fact is that these are people who you need in Alberta because they are a very finite resource needed for a modern society. The fact you seem to be encouraging them to leave seems like you cutting off your nose to spite your face, which is a shame because you will really need a doctor to help with your face.

It is a lot easier to leave a province than it is to leave a country. I know I'm getting offers and the only thing keeping me in this province is family. The newer graduates who don't have kids or family are leaving Alberta in large numbers from anecdotal perspective at least. We rely on more contract nurses and locum doctors to plug holes that are becoming increasingly evident.
