Yeah I get serious Jim Playfair and Glen Gulutzan vibes from him. Nothing wrong with that but we have seen it just doesn't work here.
We need a coach who can create relationships and communicate with the players but also have the authority to lay in to them if we are going to give them offensive freedom if the details and defensive end of the ice is not taken care of. Once you give them the leash you need to be able to pull back as well, if you can't do that its pretty much over.
Same thing with Gallant seems like a nice guy and coach, but if he is clashing with management within years well we just went through that do we really need that type of atmosphere again. Especially if the issue from management in New York was on player usage.
Also why I think Brunette may not have been the best choice either, we can't hire the player buddies to come in and coach.
Marc Savard is a intriguing name, I wonder if Tanguay can't make a lateral move due to his contract so they are going in a different direction.
