I don't think Sheldon's days are numbered. Treliving probably gives him a chance just to curry some favour with the players. They generally like him. Too much change and he's seen as someone from the outside, then it becomes tough to get his guys to sign.
Montreal and Toronto are indeed hard to navigate, but I'd also add Winnipeg. Getting anyone to stay or sign there is a complete uphill battle. I'd hate to be the GM there. Toronto is alright if the GM is fair with the media instead of combative. Dubas did alright treating them alright. Montreal they can turn on you fast. They're also generally knowledgeable and if they smell BS, they'll get on your case. They love their own too, so I'm very curious how long Hughes lasts as the new bridge as right now he's in his honeymoon period.
