I came across this recent editorial in FlameNation by Ryan Pike.

https://flamesnation.ca/news/how-doe...l-market-deals

How does the proposed Calgary arena deal compare to other small market deals?

Ottawa: 0% from public funds, but it's more complicated.

Winnipeg: 30% from public funds.

Buffalo: 43.1% from public funds.

Carolina: 48% from public funds (less straight forward though).

Calgary's proposed deal: 61% from public funds.

Edmonton: 72.6% from public funds.

San Jose: 81.5% from public funds.

Nashville: 100% of the construction costs covered by public funds.
