The Hell's Angels and 2000s/early 2010s culture were also major factors. At some point the biker gangs all wised up and realized they could make more money and suffer less drama if they started supplying competing gangs.

Regardless of the history, at some point kids in the Fraser Valley would have been sucked in by the allure and fashion of the drug dealer lifestyle. It's almost a uniform at this point, tattoos, pittbulls, jeans with lots of flare, steroids, ridiculously high fade haircuts, etc..

It's all pretty detached from the initial Khalistan movement. It's also not like Compton, where you have generations of people being initiated into the same gangs. These are just young people choosing to live that lifestyle, and often not out of necessity.
