Disappointing the province is rewarding the UCP with another government after the last 4 years. Do people really think they did a good job, a good enough job to be reelected? They spend over a year infighting, reelecting a new leader, reshuffling the whole cabinet due to controversies. Life for me in this province is without a doubt the most expensive it has ever been. No accountability for the current government for this?

What I find most troubling is that I honestly don't know what this government will do. One of the most vague and least open campaigns I have ever witness from a winning party. From how Smith won her leadership, her documented comments on everything and things she said months ago are all up in the air...so what were people voting on? The purpose of an election is to present your ideas and what your government is going to do. Not a trust us bro plan for the future. Since the current government is the UCP voting against the opposition doesn't hold water, you are voting in favour of the past four years.

I expect to this to be least transparent government we have ever had that mostly shoots from the hip and fights internally. But the most concerning and worrying trend is the us versus them mentality attitude that the Smith and UCP government embraces and fosters. This American style politics clearly does not lead to a better, efficient or effective government. Remember the government is meant to serve the whole province not just their base. I don't expect this UCP government, especially Smith, to do this.
