I have always disliked the Markstrom signing, and I don't think he's a great goalie. At least not now.
But with that said, I think he's very likely to bounce back at least somewhat.
He can't do much worse than he did last year. At least I'd hope not. I also think that part of the reason for his confidence issues could have pertained to the issues in the dressing room, which at this point, seemed to be rather dire. Third, if Wolf plays well, it could put more pressure on Markstrom. Finally, goalies are voodoo and wildly different on a year-to-year basis.
