For whatever reason this franchise seems to take a liking to a select few players and then fills the rest of the roster with useless vets. Meanwhile certain players, who aren't part of the club, just get F-ed.
As for Bennett himself, Bennett has found chemistry with Tkachuk, and Florida would be crazy to mess that up, so he's not being demoted right now. He's been demoted many times by Florida though.

Maybe too much time was spent micro managing our youth and a guy like Bennett, heck look what happened to Huberdeau. The guy was a shell of his former self.He had little to no confidence and this is from a guy who already put up decent offensive numbers. This in a relitively short time with the Flames. Imagine, here Bennett hamstrung by the same issues, before he can even contribute on offence.
