One reason to cheer for Florida is knowing it will kill Draisaitl to watch Ekblad, Reinhart, and Bennett all raise the Cup.

If Vegas wins, we can take comfort in the fact that watching Eichel lift the Cup will make McDavid cry.

I hadn't thought about this but:

2010, 2nd overall - Seguin, Stanley Cup champion (2011 Boston)
2011, 2nd overall - Landeskog, Stanley Cup champion (2022 Colorado)
2012, 2nd overall - Murray, Stanley Cup champion (2022 Colorado)

So, unless Dallas pulls off the major upset, it will mean the Oilers had 5 top-3 picks in 6 years to start the 2010s, and 4 of the players chosen with the pick immediately after the Oilers will be Stanley Cup champions after this season (and if Dallas does win it, it will be a second Cup for Seguin).
