I think it is possible we see most of the UFA's moved if a guy like Lindholm is traded. Depends on the return but I think if the Flames traded Lindholm and Hanifin for picks and prospects they should trade Tanev, Backlund and Toffoli with 50% salary retained. If he loaded up on prospects and let Phillips, Zary, Pelletier, Wolf play, I think he would still have room for a cap dump for cheap from other team. He might even get in in the Lindholm and Hanifin deals.
I'd love to see him load up on picks if these guys are moved, not spend on anyone this summer and see where we are at next summer. There are still enough vets on this team that I don't see this roster being that bad. Even Arizona at times last year looked decent.
Huberdeau - Dube - Mangiapane
Pelletier - Kadri - Phillips
Coleman - Zary - Duehr
Ruzicka
Weagar - Andersson
Kylington - Zadorov
Stetcher - Poirier
Markstrom
Wolf
You have room for 1 or 2 guys that are cap dumps, Klapka maybe could fit in the 4th line role. Hopefully Zadorov and Kylington resign. This roster is not making the playoffs but there is potential and our prospect pool with have new additions, whoever we take at 16 and Coronato still coming. We also likely are getting a top 8 pick in next draft, maybe even higher and have millions in cap space the following summer. I would be all for this

Top 8? That roster probably puts us in #1 territory, which would be a dream come true for me.
