Ultimately he treated this organization the right way. He was clear about his intentions and by doing so allowed us to get a juicy return that we all lauded at the time, and might still prove fruitful.

I was not ready to back up the Brinks truck for him long term after his lacklustre effort and questionable antics early in his bridge deal. I would have pegged him as a guy who takes his payday and relaxes his game, ala James Neal or Rene Bourque.

So props to him for elevating his game after he got money and destination of choice. Since I was a doubter myself, I can’t really hold ill will.

Good on ya Chucky, you are playing some really inspired hockey and maturing your game.
