What is the point of having people in the organization who are grow into bigger roles as time goes on and in Love's case, are really successful, but when the big job comes along we want to kick them to the curb? Why not invest in 'homegrown' talent?
I would say it speaks very poorly of an organization who has two-time AHL coach of the year in the ranks, but doesn't give him the chance he deserves to be NHL coach.

You can probably add in 2 time goalie of the year and this years AHL MVP into that discussion. Wolf also needs an opportunity.
