My first exposure to Tina Turner was in Ken Russell’s Tommy at the Odeon on 33rd & 20th SW. This scene has it all. The Acid Queen herself, fit, sexy and dangerous. Oliver Reed, drunk, as always, and distracted. Keith Moon acting like a creep (seems like a natural). And Roger Daltrey doing an impression of Roger Daltrey on Qualuddes. This was a trip for a 13 or 14 year old.

Also loved this from Private Dancer. Chick can rock (and work a camera).

RIP Tina.
