I agree hind sight is 20/20 but that’s precisely the point. It was clear him leaving was a fairly large risk even at that time. To believe otherwise is to forgive an epic failure in asset management and one even Conroy himself today admits. Not really all that debatable to be honest.
Sometimes as a GM you have to make a tough call for the long term benefit of the team. When you exclusively make short term calls the way Treliving did you will not eventually win. Prioritizing long term organizational health / needs is required to win a cup IMO.
