Tkachuk has given that team the type of leadership it seems they were previously missing, and as a consequence has made the whole team playing in front of Bobrovsky better. While Bob has been fantastic in his position, I would say it's Tkachuk that has provided what was needed to make the team as a whole more than the sum of their players.
That's not even mentioning scoring four OT winners in fourteen games. One more and he'll set the all-time record. It's also not mentioning who put the team on his back to get them into the playoffs in the first place.
I would still say Tkachuk is the favourite for the Conn Smythe.
Iggy & Kipper comparisons seem pretty apt, but thinking the Flames traded away an Iggy really rubs that salt further into the wound.
