Same thing with Florida right now. You need Tkachuk and Bob...but Bob is the driver now against both the Leafs and the Canes.
Tkachuk was great against Boston, and 8 points in the last 8 games (the Toronto and Carolina series) is still good, but it's Bobrovsky with a .958 save percentage and 16.47 GSAA the last 8 games that are carrying the Panthers right now.
Any team that gets a .958 save percentage and a 16.47 GSAA over an 8 game stretch can legitimately contend for the cup.

I agree with you, they also remind me a little bit of the 1998-99 Buffalo Sabres.
Not saying the Panthers are going to suffer the same fate as the 04 Flames or the 99 Sabres though, with both losing (both on controversial goals too, coincidentally).
